I thought this was a really nice (and true) quote from Charlie White about Tessa and Scott:
From a technical standpoint, Tessa and Scott's foundation of skating is the highest of all the teams. Their ability to go in and out of movements, where you can't see the end of one movement and beginning of the next, is unparalleled.

It's from an interview he and Meryl did about their decision to not compete in 2018 (aka retire even though I don't think they used the word). http://web.icenetwork.com/news/2017/02/23/216836406

Tessa also posted a really sweet message after they made the announcement: https://twitter.com/tessavirtue/status/834543159162044420

I know a lot of people don't love The Skating Lesson stuff, but they spend a fair amount of time in their 4CC recap gushing over Tessa and Scott. They tried to score the medalists in each discipline in PCs, which I found interesting. Also Dave Lease may or may not have said something along the lines of "Can they just get married already?" about one of the ice dance couples. I'm sure you can guess who.

on YT there's 'Newlywed Game' with Tessa and Scott, I'll post the link later if it is not yet here (as I'm at work now), where there is a HEAVY hint dropped by Scott about their present relationship off ice  and Tessa's 'get gone and lost' face at him :points:

I re-watched that so many times. It's her face that seals it for me.

Some quotes have been shared on twitter from their teleconference pre-worlds.

Lynn Rutherford:

On call @tessavirtue @ScottMoir: "Frankly this is the most prepared we've been for Worlds our whole career."
More from @ScottMoir: "At times we miss training with @Meryl_Davis @CharlieaWhite. We did have a great run with them."

Lois Elfman:

Time for @tessavirtue @ScottMoir to talk #helsinki2017. They've been training hard. It's been a great six weeks.

Seven teams from their rink are going to #helsinki2017. Can't wait to compete two programs that we love, said Moir.

Virtue said they can't quite put their fingers on how they feel. The competitive spirit never really left them, but it feels fresh and new.

"Our approach to the season has been quite different. We've gotten ready for each event in a very specific way," said Virtue.

They are still learning so much. Virtue said it feels great. Healthy and eager to compete.

"It's not a big secret we've come back with the Olympics in mind," said Moir. "We're surprised how much we enjoy it day to day."

"We're still enjoying it every day, probably more than we ever have in our career," said Moir. Enjoy the moment.

We have to show up hungry and ready to compete. Still not thinking about the results.

We're very pleased with the product that their choreographers have created. As an artist and athlete always want more.

They watched last year's Worlds as fans. We in awe of the technical ability. They know they have to bring their best. Virtue

They don't know if they'll do worlds after Olympics in 2018. Remains to be seen. Moir. Hard to pass up the chance to do the programs again.

We have such a great training school. As athletes and artists you're trying to draw inspiration. At 4C they watched the other events.

We always make our decisions based on what we want to do. We came back because we want to skate and have more to give.

There are arts and culture everywhere in Montreal. Virtue joined a group at a local museum. Arts hv influenced their skating.

Being in Montreal has given them the chance to take in the arts in many different ways -- music, art, dance, etc.

They're working their butts off, and having a ton of fun. You have to be so prepared and on. Having a blast working hard.

They've been working on changes to their skating throughout the season. Virtue

Moir said he can see Papadakis & Cizeron are working intently and want to win. We watch with a more positive spin now.

It's exciting to watch younger teams excel. Moir.

From P/C's fan fest:

There is no French, no Canadian, no American in the dance panel:
Technical Controller Ms. Ludmila MIKHAILOVSKAYA
Technical Specialist Mr. Andrzej DOSTATNI (He was also at the NHK and he's very strict)
Assistant Technical Specialist Mr. György ELEK

TC is Ukrainian, TS is Polish and ATS is Hungarian. Not that it necessarily matters, but I know some people like to know. Anyways, Tessa and Scott did pretty well at NHK with Dostatni there.

I can't wait to see them live in just a couple of days! One of my dreams will come true. :hap85:

saw them at ACI and Nationals this year....

THEIR SD is really cool and fun... but watch out... bring some tissues for the FD... I cried twice in my life at the rink... Once for Patrick's LP... and once for Tessa and Scott's FD at Nationals... it was mesmerizing....

ENJOY!!!!

hi:)

in all honesty, at that point it does not even matter regarding Tessa/Scott, looking at their content and attitude, they'll go on ice and just do their best job as they showed already whole season so far. They showed an ability to grow both programs beyond expectations since Skate Canada, they showed (surprisingly for me) a great a sure amount of confidence in performance and selling programs, no sign of intimidation, more like taking all in: their experience, respect to other competitors and their mutual understanding.

Regardless of their result at Worlds - I just want to show my gratitude towards their comeback, all power, hard work and approach put into it. For those 2 great programs, SD in particular which shows the ultimate complexity and fluidity between technical, athletic side of figure skating and this entertaining/presentation one, making irresistible package, so engaging, in character, full of charisma.

Looking forward to see their chemistry again in actin, maturity and sophistication of their presentation, unapologetic and arresting expression, conveying an array of emotions given to the audience, that fabulous beyond imagination non-touching step sequence in SD, Tessa's killer arms and legs in SD catsuit, Scott's mane in action, FD stationary lift and many, many other things

WOW!!!!! I just saw their SD!!!!! :yahoo: That was amazing!!! The program was already wonderful, but this time it had something extra. I loved it all, but the build from the twizzles to the celebratory last lift was extraordinary! They were fully invested in the choreography and the audience was right there with them!!! Bravo, Tessa and Scott!!! :yes2:

Between Patrick, Deniss Vasiljevs, and V&M, it’s been a FABULOUS Worlds for me so far! :hap85:

Just saw their SD on the NBCSN broadcast....WOW!!!!!! :eeking:

Today, Tessa and Scott gave a clinic on: 1) How to do a proper Prince program, and more importantly 2) How to skate like you should win when you aren't even in the penultimate group.

WAY TO GO TESSA AND SCOTT!!!!
