Since I don't see a thread for this, I'll start one.
Thank you to all living veterans as well as all active-duty servicemen and women and reservists of today, and also thank you to those veterans from the days of Lexington and Concord up to the present. We owe you our daily lives, our achievements, our opportunity to cast our ballots, our privileges and rights, our skating rinks, our theaters and museums, our doll collections, our inventions, our sometimes-contentious arguments (a privilege if ever there was one), our moon rocks, and our neighbors from countries on six continents. Thank you every day of the year, but especially thank you today.
