Im guessing 16 by the mini and heels? I remember him wearing his annie mae shirt at competitions. Michael was a very young father-like Katia was a mother. Most skated thru the 90's to reap the money so lots of older skaters have little ones. nancy had her son right away and then a big gap and two more-glad she got her girl.

I missed most of the skating today. Just tuned in in time for Katia. Liza looks a bit like Dakota Fanning, as well as looking very much like her father Ilia. Interesting that Katia, one of the world's most beautiful women, has two daughters who each are the spitting image of their respective fathers. (Of course both Sergei and Ilia were/are handsome, so the kids look wonderful.)

Todd Eldredge just skated. Well, Iluvtodd, I see why you'll never ever change your screen name. This guy is a doll. Look at the way he skates with the baby and high-fives his older son. He wasn't the top gun on my list of favorite skaters, but if I ever had the chance to meet five skaters of my choice, he'd definitely be one of them. He just radiates decency and warmth.

And there's Paul Wylie sitting there! Another wonderful guy, as far as I can tell. (And if I met him, I'd probably faint or drift off the ground or something--him and Kurt.) I hope I haven't missed all his skating, or that I can find the show on YouTube.

Chris, I agree that it's good to express your thanks for the sponsor. Fortunately I love applesauce, and Musselman makes an unsweetened variety. I used to get it for Mom, and she loved it.

Is Jewel's husband there? I love Ty Murray. One of the people I encountered on Dancing with the Stars and came to admire. He was a hard worker and a gentleman. I know that he and Jewel recently had their first child. This entitles them to be on the family show! Though I don't think either of them should have to skate.

Paul has 4 kids now?! They're so cute as sharks! (though this whole show is pretty cheesey... my parents are eating it up, though...)

It is adorable, isn't it. I think if it were some unspecified families, I'd be bored, but these skaters are people we have known and loved for, oh, twenty years and more, and we always wanted to know that they would turn out well and have good lives. To see that they were healthy people who didn't fall apart because they were in the spotlight, or because the spotlight moved off of them to light someone else, is a delight.

And now here's Katia. Holy hat, that costume is sheer.

I have to agree...I really liked Lipinski at first...but she has since totally changed...almost bordering on annoying now at TEB. Come on TL, go back to your roots!

Todd Eldredge skates every performance, from Who Let the Dogs Out to Spiderman, as if it might be his last and he wants fans to remember.

About the TES show, wow, Victoria Volchkova is a beauty in her maturity!

Ilia Kulik is still a master of footwork, jumps, and movement. What a joy to see him in a jazzy number!

Did you see Lizza watching him??

She is a classic beauty.

I think that Tara & Michael do a great job commentating. Terry Gannon has turned into quite a chatterbox.

About Tara's commentary, I bet she had to bite her lip when Terry kept going on about how Julia Lipnitskaia is only 14 and Liza Tuktamisheva 15. ;)

I guess with Dick Button gone Terry can get a word in edgewise. :)

I missed a few of the early performances because I was flipping between this show and another one, but from what I saw I especially enjoyed Ilia & Katia's numbers, Shae-Lynn's numbers, especially the first one (she look fabulous for having just given birth less than 6 months ago) and Josef S.'s numbers. It was great to see Liza skate in the final, although I wish we could have seen more of her skating. Nancy's daughter is absolutely adorable. :) Paul Wylie's number with his kids was cute as well, and loved seeing the spread eagle move from him in the finale.

Note to producers of the show, if you want to guarantee that I'll watch the entire 2 hour show, how about inviting John Zimmerman next year?

BTW, did you know the show was sponsored by Musselman's applesauce? ;)

Hey, I dont care if its sponsored by Viagra! At least someone is putting some money into skating.....
I guess I really cant complain about Tara's commentary. Maybe it could be construed as a bit shallow but TG was giving her softballs to answer. I think MW did a good job of commenting.
Its hard to say what NBC thinks the average watcher wants to hear....I think we here are a very small minority of the viewing public as far as actually knowing about something or caring about it.
I dont know anything but I do care about it.... :) Shear costumes? Did someone say Shear costumes? It was nice to see Victoria V again. Maria Butryiskia, come baaaacccckkkkk.
Plus one on bringing back John Zimmerman and his wife or partner....I like them both. (Ina looked good at SA-Kent) (Silvia looks good anywhere)
I do have a confession. I record the "shows" and fast forward through the skaters I really dont care about. Does that make me a bad person?

iirc, John Z and Silvia and family were supposed to be in the show originally, but there was a conflict with the change in venue/schedule.

I normally don't watch the Disson shows at all but tuned in because of Jewel, mainly. Had the show remained in Atlantic City I would have gone.

I watched the family show, but fast-forwarded through a lot of it (got tired of Jewel, although she is lovely). It was nice to see so many of the skaters and their families. Random thoughts: Was Daria Grinkova there? It was surprising to see how tall Nancy Kerrigan's son was. He sure looked a lot like her - what a handsome young man! Shae-Lynn's little guy was adorable, and she looks great for being a new mom. Paul Wylie has certainly kept up his skills. I didn't know that Todd Eldredge's new wife could skate well, too. The star for me was Liza Kulik. It will be interesting to see if she pursues skating competitively.
