FSO ( Russian Language Fan Forum) Awards for 2012 for All Disciplines, Best Programs

I don't remeber was it said here or not but there is "Russian FSO Awards 2012" (awards from FS site) so Patrick was awarded a teddy bear for Best Single Male Skater and Best EX photo - http://img-fotki.yandex.ru/get/6414/181409796.0/0_9ec5d_5eb278f8_L.jpg :)
He said in brief that it is for the audience a skater works and the support of fans means a lot and makes a skater to improve and to win.;)

All teddy bears are of author's work, not a serial production. All are different and look like (maybe a bit) skaters awarded.

^ Thanks, AlexRus. Maybe they should change the thread title. So many skaters got the same reward, why only one of them should be "highlighted". Btw, that forum has a little more than 2,000 registered users.

Thank you so much for the info, STARushka:bow:
I'd also like to thank the whole Russian audience who gave Patrick a large cheer at the Rostelecom Cup.
Happy to know he's got many fans in Russia now.
The venue is indeed his lucky place, as he said before:biggrin:

The Russian fans have always been passionate, knowledgeable and enthusiastic about this sport. Seeing how they were able to put together the 2011 Worlds in such a short notice speaks volume about their commitment for this sport, up to the level of their country's top political leader.

Due to the perceived rivalry based on some of Chan's comments re: Plushenko in the past, Patrick Chan had to work especially hard to win the support of the Russian fans. I am glad years of hard work has started to show an impact. Incidentally, it was in Russia that he managed to score over 90 in PCS in a FS, he only did so twice in his career and both times there. I am sure he wants to carry this record into Sochi.

Just to be more clear. That "Russian forum" is not really Russian, because you can't say any nice things about Russian skaters there, you will be the troll.

It is very nice place and more proper name is "Russian speaking forum”, people who speak Russian, and majority of them don’t live in Russia, but in Israel, Ukraine, USA, Canada, European union. Russian fans are really rare there, but you can see many journalists, specialists and so on. It is very similar to Golden skate, but in Russian. The difference from GFS is they still have mentality of the iron curtain. I have seen they ban people all the time for nothing, especially really Russian fans, who admaire rissian skater.
So don’t be mislead about Russian fans love for Chan, many of them don’t even live in Russia, or do that because they hate Plushenko, Gachinski, and every Russian skaters.
Hard to believe, but that is my view.
IMHO

You are absolutely correct. I hope they will change the name of the anti-Russian skaters forum.

It's nice that both Meryl & Charlie and Tessa & Scott got awards!

Although I preferred Funny Face as a program, the photo of the Meryl Davis bear in her pretty purple halter dress is irresistible.
It even inspired me to try to make it into my first GS avatar ever. Thanks to the photographer and to whoever created all the darling look-alike costumes for the bears.

Pfff...Nonsence.That's a VERY good and knowledgeble forum.Non-biased:popcorn: Almost. You said they don't cheer for Russian skatrs and that's incorrect. It were THEM who discussed that Ashley was overscored and Lisa should have been higher in pcs....So I don't see the point in bushing that forum. I like it and I'm Russian:cool:
