A bittersweet victory for Volosozhar and Trankov in Sochi
The 2012-13 ISU Grand Prix Final concluded with the Pairs Free Skating event in which the front-runners, Tatiana Volosozhar and Maxim Trankov of Russia, won their first ever Grand Prix title. However, their victory left both fans and specialists torn between a desire to question the results and sympathy to the skaters’ plight.

I'm afraid I am not as impressed with this team as the Russian fed and the judges are.
What am I missing?
The judges arent that impressed. They have never beaten Savchenko & Szolkowy to date which they would have if the judges thought they were great, as every great team that exists pretty much owns S&S. They win all events this year since there is nobody good enough to challenge them with S&S out, what are thinking, that a team like Barazova & Larionov should win the GP final, lol!
