EDIT: nope, and she singled the 3Loop

Too bad. Doe she still feel pain in her back? If so, I don't think it's a good idea to practice 3A.

I love Mao, and it certainly is a great thing to compete in international competitions as your own countrys number one, but deep down I wish that Akiko skates the LP of her life and wins the national title. She deserves it.

    Ditto.

BTW - I saw Mao during warmup, and she looked a bit tense/tight. (It's on TSS right now, if anybody wants to try livestream, etc. They haven't showed Mao yet)

Assuming the PBP is correct, Mao did do a more difficult combo, which makes up some of the difference between a worthless element and a 3R.

Watched both Mao & Akiko. I think Akiko got low-balled here.

Satoko in in third!! Sad for Mao's mistake but I hope that Akiko wins the National title so JSF has to send her to both 4CC and Worlds!

Miyahara is a lovely skater and Shizuka was praising her edgework during her performance.
I am a little worried that her jumps seem to have very little elevation. When she grows up will she be able to rotate her jumps enough?

Her practice 3A in this clip looked great to me. Was it UR - I can't tell.

No, I don't think it was, you could easily see her foot doing a little turne on the ice at the landing...

The question is, was it more than 1/4 short on rotation? If it was less she should get full credit but it's not clear in this video.
