M/K in thirdhope they remain in third place and go to euros/worlds. Their FD is better than S/Z, R/T and P/G IMO

how did M/K got 3rd ? Their height similarity alone is bothersome R/T in 5th really ? I hope S/Z will move up for bronze

I don't mind their similar height and I thought they skated very well. Anyway the margin between 3rd and 5th is small so nothing has been decided yet. I thought Elena and Nikita should be first they skated their best SD so far this season while B/S were tight and there was the twizzle error
To be honest I never thought R/T are top skaters material. They lack any kind of improvement since their debut season on the international stage IMO. They skate fast but a bit frenetic with lots of upper body movement and that's about it. And they love waltz
Both M/K and S/Z show more promise and I was kind of expecting the Russian federation would drop them

Ilinykh and Katsalapov got 4.9 in both PE and IT LOL
I'm happy for M/K, they're really skating well this year and I like their new Zhulin style, I hope the placements remain this after the FD! And, yes, I/K skated well but their Polka is not very good for me, when B/S's has improved a lot!

I am thrilled for M/K!I am afraid things will go back to normal tomorrow with R/T back at 3rd and M/K at 5th, but even this intermediate result is good for M/K. I used to be a fan of Riazanova/Tkachenko, but they indeed did not show much progress, it's sad.
It was really funny to listen to Tarasova commentary - she appeared to be mad at Zhulin for not listening to her advice to change the ending of Bobrova's SD. She said she wanted the program to finish with a bang instead of a quiet ending they currently have. She also confirmed she was begging him to change the FD and he gave in, but refused to change SD. I really hope Russian fed will find a way for her to coach her own students instead of constantly interfering with others work.
She showed a lot of love for Riazanova/Tkachenko though, who changed their FD completely following her advice.![]()
