Competition for skaters in the Nordic Countries: Senior Ladies and Men, Ice Dance, Junior Ladies and Men, Novice Girls and Boys. Senior Men and Ladies are open to all members of ISU.

Cool for Reykjavik to host an ISU Figure Skating event. And where could be a better place to skate than on Iceland? Nice trip for the competitors :)

I bet :) It's on my list.

They're great swimmers, too!
Yes, and good at handball. Men's silver at Olympics in 2008. Not bad for a nation with 320 000 people.

I see Efimenko bombed Juniors. :/

Nice to see all the Icelandic girls going for 2a. And Magnusdottir landed two of them in the FS! :) I think she's the first Icelandic skater to do so?

Decent jumping content from top 3, even if with mistakes. Saarinen seems really promising on paper anyway.

I see Majorov's younger brother didn't compete in Men. Injury? Not skating any more?

In Senior Ladies sadly a number of mistakes from both Helgessons but Anita Madsen is ON THE ROLL! Two clean programs! Wow. She was awesome at Euros and I hope she skates even better at Worlds. :)

They should really try to replace her 2lutz/2toe/2toe with a second triple toe or salchow. More points but more importantly psychologically will make a big difference to the judges.

Milevskaia seemed promising once but really bombed both programs here. :(

Araza seemed really promising in Juniors but sadly his Senior performances here didn't live up to that.

I'm also bummed for Harry Mattick. Delivered a clean SP but fell four times in the FS. :(

It might be the first for her in competition but Agnes Dis has been doing two 2A very consistently for the past year starting with the last Nordics 2012 in Finland. She is a regular jumping bean but not very stable spins. Agnes has also been the closest to a triple. :)
