...okay, I've just checked TV schedule and found out that none of TVs here plan to broadcast the comp live...:slink:
What's the point JSF pays $$$$$ to host an ISU Championships and never to broadcast it live?

I live in a country where an ISU Champoinships is soon to be held and can't watch it on TV live. Why am I paying 2,400.00yen (about 20.00euros) to J-Sports every month??? :sarcasm:& Even worse is that I can actually watch the Euros and US Nats LIVE thru J-Sports this weekend...:disapp:
What do you mean by "why"? As if you don't know that TV broadcast rights for 4CC belong to Fuji TV a.k.a. Fluff TV, the worst TV channel for sport events. Unlike JSport, Fuji have no idea what the word "sport" stands for. For them it's just bangumi, one of many. Moreover, if you got the TV guide for Sky Perfect TV to your address (not available online yet), you can see that one of Fuji sky channels is launching a bunch of progs "Hanyu from the age of 10 to 17" where they will show JN of those years where actually other skaters took part as well (Dai, Mura), not Hanyu only. But somehow Fuji TV picked up YH for the title. I am actually a little disappointed that Chan is not coming to 4CC. Without his presence, and especially if Ashley chooses not to come too, Fluff TV will be all over Mao and Hanyu mixed with TV commercials of frozen karaage. They obviously think that fs audience in Japan are some lazy housewives who, instead of cooking healthy food for their kids, are stucked in front of TV watching fs and whining "why my baby is not as skinny as Yuzu and not as kawai as Mao".

It's just twitter rumours but there's talk that Eurosport might show 4CC live and in full. If it's true (I honesty don't really believe), then you can always watch Eurosport via TVteka online. Russians never broadcast 4CC.

Yeah you are right. I have forgotten J-Sports deos not have the rights for 4CC...:bang: Since 4CC is in Osaka this year, I thought/misunderstood we can watch the whole comp throughout live on TV; just like NHK Trophy every season.

And they didn't. They sent the 2nd, 3rd and 4th. ;)
;) ;)

I have never watched any skating competition live -- I always look up my favorite entries on Youtube. But it would be nice if live broadcast is available.

Just a few more days till 4CC -- I'm excited to watch the Japanese men!

It's really surprising but true, Eurosport will broadcast the competition! I just checked their programme for Friday.

Aaaarrggghhh we don't have Eurosport 2 here, only Eurosport. :( 4CC will only be broadcast in Eurosport 2. I'll just have to rely on Youtube then for the individual performances.

I always check the tv programme for figure skating and was so surprised to see Eurosport! broadcasting 4CC in two weeks. This is just amazing and I'm so happy about this. Wonderful, this almost wipes out their disastrous broadcast of 2012 Worlds. So happy. I'm happy I live in Europe and don't have to watch figure skating on Fuji TV. ;)

Eurosport 2 is only showing:

Friday
- Pairs SP
- Men SP and Ice Dance SD taped, only short parts (not sure if SD will be shown at all)

Saturday
- Men FS live but no Ladies SP

Sunday
- Ladies FS live
- Pairs SP taped (very short broadcast, probably final group only)
- no Free Dance at all :(

Crap schedule.

Is there a way to watch Fuji TV outside of Japan? What is their schedule like?

Will this be available on IceNetwork for those of us in the US? I seem to remember them offering a Worlds/4CC combo last year but there is no mention on their site that i can find.

Fuji is available only on KeyHole but they won't bother much with live broadcast either:

Feb 8 Men SP: 7:57pm- 10:52pm
Feb 9 Ladies SP and Men FP: 7:57pm-11:10pm (lol, how they are going to jam them all)
Feb 10 Ladies FP 7:00pm-9:30pm

Thank you! :)

If anybody will have a link to that, please share.

God, I hate intellectual property law SO MUCH. ISU has a skating channel but I am not able to watch the whole event live there because ISU sold the rights to Eurosport who will have crap coverage that I don't want. UGH.

How do you watch Universal Sports live? You buy a subscription?

It's obviously geo-blocked to US but there's VPN services out there so it's always an option.

It's a struggle even in the US, since it is only on the satellite providers, Dish & Direct TV, are the only ones that have US Sports.

No Ice Dance at all and no Ladies SP. And Pairs FS only the final group not live. :(

So if we want to watch Ladies SP, Fuji TV will the the only option.

British Eurosport from what it seems has quite good coverage. If you can find a site that streams British Eurosport-2 you'll be able to watch four continents
http://www.frombar.tv/ is a website where for 99.9999% of the time, there is a link to British Eurosport 2

Have a look for yourself
http://tv.eurosport.com/tvschedule.shtml
On the 8th Feb
(All British Time/GMT time)
8am Pairs SP (Live) 105mins
9:45am Ice Dance SD (taped) 105mins
11:30 Mens SP (Live) 150mins

*(considering that there are only 8 pairs teams and 13 ice dance teams, there will probably be time to show more of the mens.)

On the 9th Feb
(All British Time/GMT time)
10:00 Mens FS (Live) 270mins
14:30 Ladies' SP (taped) 60mins

*(They have allocated alot of time for the Mens FP and there are only 24 men in the field. They may broadcast more of the Ladies SP.)

On the 10th Feb
(All British Time/GMT time)
8am Ladies FS (Live) 210 Mins
11:30am Pairs FS (taped) 45 mins
12:15pm Ice Dance FD (Live) 165mins

*(I know only 45 mins for Pairs but there are only 8 teams from Canada, China and the US and from that only half the pairs field is really strong).

On the 11th Feb
(All British Time/GMT time)
7am Gala (Live) 150mins

Replays on 12th Feb at 6am (120mins) and 14th Feb at 11pm (120mins)

I hope this helps. Happy watching :D

Thanks a lot! Hopefully Frombar will work during 4CC.

Will Universal Sports show everything live online?

That's great! Eurosport UK did not bother to provide proper coverage of Europeans, but they will show 4CC! I am not sure if they noticed that they are supposed to be Eurosport. The name would indicate that they should concentrate (at least sometimes) on sports within Europe! Never mind, at least we see some skating.

I gotta admit, that's weird.
