I cannot hear "I Will Wait for You" without thinking of the episode Jurassic Bark from the TV show Futurama. If there's one skater who can embody its emotions it's Akiko Suzuki, and she does it beautifully.
A nice photo from Prince Ice World Tokyo:

Takeshi looks much younger in this photo, like a big brat , doesn't he?
Akiko went to the PIW show as one of the audience, not as a guest skater this time.
The last time she went to an ice show (to watch) was she was an elementary school student!, she says in her blog.
"It was so refreshing for me to watch the ice show as one of the audience! Watching performances by various top skaters from outside of the rink, I learned a lot of things throughout. But to tell the truth...I eventually thought, 'I want to skate there!' "
Yes, we fans also feel the same way: We want to see you skate, not watch with us, Akiko!

I didnot know about Futurama, so I searched it a bit, only to find out such a sad story...(((SeriousBusiness)))...
It reminds me of the true story of the 'Hachi' dog during 1920's-30's. Was also made ito an US movie with Richard Gere in 2009.
