I just watched it tonight on icenetwork on a KindleFire HD hooked via HDMI cables to my TV, and it was great!
They had a synchro tech specialist doing the color commentary.

Team Paradise had the most beautiful routine, just breathtaking, and the highest PCS.

Team Sweden 1 made a lot of small mistakes, and one girl fell.
The Finnish 1 girls also had one girl fall.

The Haydenettes were a little nervous on their first and last elements, but their whip intersection was really interesting-you thought it was going to happen, and then they circle around again.

The Canada 1 team won on the technical score. Really, any music at all could have been playing, and the fact that it was a jazzy number made their stiffness rather more noticeable.

It's amazing to see how full the building is...perhaps no surprise when the Haydenettes brought along a fan group of 900 people and Canadian fans bought out the seats at both ends of the rink.

Yeah, suppose they could have used a building with more than 6 000 seats. Synchro brings a lot of fans. Think of how many relatives/friends each team member has. Anyways, great that the arena is full. Big show on and off ice :party2:

Highlights from the shorts.

It's interesting you say that Canada 1 was stiff! They are so soft in the knees and smooth, it was mesmerizing watching them. I agree that they could have been skating to any music, though. Technically they were wonderful, which I suppose is the point of the short/technical program, after all.

They have lovely knee action; really great skating skills.

However, they did not use their upper body in much of any way to express the music-which is why almost any music could have been playing.

At one point, Kelley Ristow (spelling?) the tech specialist at last year's World synchro championships said that that inability to make the trade off between carriage & expression was probably why they lost last year.

She loved their skating too, from a technical point of view.
