I don't think so. A friend of mine, an adult skater (never competed at any level, not event at adult level) is preparing for the tech spec exam!
And the judging, it is definitely worth looking into it, because I know for sure that one bloke who used to skate at our rink became a judge, and I have never seen him jump! (Although he he may have become ice dance judge, which is possible). But doing NISA L6 pattern dance and free dance would be more doable for adult skater than doing L6 elements and free skating program. I wonder whether the rule is that you have to be L6 NISA (any test L6), rather than all tests L6. Field move would be easiest to pass.
Thanks for all the info, once I'm back in the UK then I will definitely look into it. Hopefully my skating will eventually be good enough to pass some kind of L6 test. ^^
if you get to the UK, get in touch, I will send you what you need for L1-6. (you may have to pass all six levels of FM, not only L6)
