Very glad to see Sasaki placed 3rd and land 3axels. He is really musical and has great expression. I really love his skating.

Can you imagine the world silver and bronze medallist not making their national team - that would be big news. I see Fumie Suguri is skating - it is THE Ms. Suguri right? I am not sure what to say. I think her time has passed though really but good for her if she wants to skate. I just think it will be hard to make the team. I would tell Ando almost the same thing - your heart has to be in it or don't do it.

I think that Suguri has the problem that many competitive athletes face. Skating is the only thing she really knows. It's something she has devoted a substantial part of her life to. And she's finding it extremely hard to move on.

One of many national competitions you see in Japan and at least 5 Junior Girls landing 3/3 combinations. Crazy.
