Ralph/Hill will place at least within the top five overall.

With two couples left to skate, the rankings (for combined SD/FD scores) are:
    • Orford/Williams
    • Paul/Islam [ who fell during FD :( ]
    • Ralph/Hill

Too bad about the fall for P/I - it's starting to be a tough year for the Detroit Skating Club...

Sorry, I originally had a typo in my post above. Erroneously typed that Paul/Islam's fall was in SD. Have gone back and corrected it to FD.

I hope they keep six spots on the National team (with one for W/P) so R/H can still be on the national team. I've always liked them.

G/P just scored 101 in their FD. Their SB internationally is 88.

Mrs. P - that it quite a jump...oh well...like previous posters have said - it doesn't help the skaters when there is that much home inflation - cuz at 4CCs and worlds - reality sets back in.

    Here's the protocols: http://results.skatecanada.ca/2012-2...gesDetails.pdf

ETA: V/M is now up. They got three lift deductions?!?!?! Plus a level one spin? And a level 2 lift? And I thought this as a lenient tech panel...

G/P actually beat them in TES. Woah.

Wish the score were even higher. But everyone admires them:

PCS definitely helped them here -- look at all those 10s! ...Although why did they get a 12.24 in skating skills and a 17.29 in transions?

    ETA: Never mind--good ol' factoring.

Now I'm curious what the tech panel saw. The judges seemed to like the FD fine with all the +GOE and the huge PCS.
