Sakhanovich was really lovely. Solid jumps (both 3lutz/3toe and 3flip done after halfway mark, I think), well choreographed program with quite a lot of connecting movements and she's quite elegant too. She had the whole package, really. Could push a little more on the expression but given her ages, everything was quite extraordinary.

I think Lipnitskaia was gifted a little on the marks because of her reputation.

This is my first time seeing Serafima and I am VERY favorably surprised and impressed. I'd actually probably have had her in first.

I am super excited for the long tomorrow :)

I always enjoy watching Radionova skating. Unlike some other Russian girls, she is such a charming and adorable skater that I cannot take my eyes off her during her winsome performances. Valentina Chernyshova's SP also impressed me a lot, very beautiful and elegant. Evgenia Medvedeva is a skater to be reckoned with in the near future. Is she age-eligible for the Junior GP events next season? As for Serafima, her skating is so mature and smooth, but her jump technique is not good enough. We will have to wait and see.

I posted this at FSU, but I'll post it here too...

Currently age eligible for seniors and juniors in 2012/2013
Valentina Chernyshova - 3/5/1996
Kristina Zaseeva - 10/1/1996

Age eligible for juniors in 2011/2012; Senior-Age eligible in 2013/2014
Maria Stavitskaya - 9/1/1997
Evgenia Gerasimova - 1/2/1998
Anna Pogorilaya - 4/10/1998
Arina Petrova - 5/7/1998
Julia Lipntiskaia - 6/5/1998

Age eligible for juniors in 2012/2013; Senior-Age eligible in 2014/2015
Elena Radionova - 1/6/1999

Age eligible for juniors in 2013/2014; Senior Age eligible in 2015/2016
Alsou Kayumova - 7/12/1999
Evgenia Medvedeva - 11/19/1999
Elizaveta Yushchenko - 1/6/2000
Seraphima Sahanovich - 2/9/2000
Elizaveta Tursynbaeva - 2/14/2000
Maria Sotskova - 4/2/2000

Age eligible for juniors in 2014/2015; Senior age eligible in 2016/2017
Anastasia Kolomiets - 8/6/2000

Not age eligible any time soon:
Valeria Yevseyeva - 3/13/2002

From those competing here, I'd imagine Medvedeva, Sahanovich and Sotskova are sure bets to debut in the JGP next year. All of them are very, very good. Re: Medvedeva - I like her a lot, but I think her LP suits her a lot more than her SP.

Thanks, Oleada. :)

If Chernyshova doesn't manage to finish in top 3 of age-eligible skaters, they should send her to a senior international competition at least.

Same with Gosviani, who didn't compete her (if she won't be chosen for Senior Worlds).

Did Chernyshova skate at Senior Nationals as well?

Serafima's technique before was even more awful , with her bent knees, I think she is gotten better though
her jumps are huge but ugly layback

Yes, her layback spins are ugly. Maybe her physical flexibility is poor. I really love Valentina Chernyshova's graceful skating. Hope she can pull through in the LP competitions as well.

Chernishova competed at the Volvo Open in Latvia and scored 118.14 (7th overall). She does have the TES minimums for JW. She didn't qualify for senior nationals.

SP: 3T+COMBO, 3Lo (-GOE), 2A<. Spins level 4, steps level 3 (-GOE)
LP: 3T+2T, 2F, 3Lo+2T, 2A<, 1Lo, 2A<<+COMBO, 3S. 2 Spins level 4, 1 level 2. Steps level 2.

There's the LP to go, but if I were the Russian fed, I would not send her to Junior Worlds.

So... group 1 should be out on the ice by now? Or is girls' FS going to be held tomorrow?

Hmm, there's a girl sitting with her coach(who also coaches Elena Radionova) so I think she's Valeria Yevseyeva. I don't know her scores..

+Did it(girls FS) start? They didn't even post starting order on their website.

I think Alsou Kayumova is done with her FS.

I hope Anna skates well enough to be included in a Russian Jr.Worlds team.

By starting order from now:
9.Anastasia Kolomiets:102.06(TES:55.68, PCS:46.38)
10.Maria Sotskova:122.29(TES:64.40, PCS:57.89)
11.Julia Li:102.40(TES:52.98, PCS:50.17)
12.Kristina Zaseeva:91.35(TES:38.52 PCS:52.83)

I'm impressed by Maria Sotskova-Total score of 181.12! Well, so Julia and Elena might have a chance to get a score over 200+. I think they do have a bonus at Junior Nationals..

I'm fairly certain they don't.

Sotskova has all the triples, plus has been trying several 3+3 combinations.

You might be right.

I do think they are overscored on PCS and is getting high GOEs, though. But still, Russian girls are amazing. So many girls can jump 3+3.

As of now:

1.Maria Sotskova:181.12
2.Anna Pogorilaya:170.86
3.Julia Li:157.13
4.Maria Stavitskaia:157.03
5.Anastasia Kolomiets:156.86
6.Valeria Yevseyeva:155.94
7.Elizaveta Tursynabaeva:151.29
8,Alsou Kayumova:149.56

10.Elizaveta Yushchenko:145.72
11.Arina Petrova:134.43
12.Polina Platkova:101.84

Next:Group 3. I still hope that Anna(Pogorilaya) can go to Jr.Worlds.

I'm not sure if they're overscored. Anna received few points higher than her score at JGPF, but she made mistakes there and I don't think she made any mistakes at Jr. Nationals.

+Group 3 is on ice right now, doing warm-up.
