    Miyu Honda

I love Miyu Honda as a child actress, but this kid also has some serious skills in skating! She's only 9 but because she is the younger sister of Marin Honda, she also wins competitions. I wish she would quit acting and focus on her skating like her sister!

Is it the same girl who was in the documentary with Plushenko? She was very fast at catching up on his artisty lesson.

In case anyone's interested, here's part of her documentary with Plushenko, English subtitles included: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aqT4yWEBTeg

I don't know if anyone has subbed the other parts of her visit to Russia? She seems very talented and learns quickly.

She does learn quickly, but i think she is more of an artistic skater than a technical one.

http://www.dailymotion.com/video/x22...730-miyu_sport one day of Miyu Honda. Juggling between skating and actress work (at that day she had a photoshoot for calendar) is hard thing for sure.
By the way Miyu is not 9, but 10 already (Marin is still 12, Sara is 7)

Speaking of Miyu's acting, she played in drama special スケート靴の約束 (The Promise of Skate Shoes). It's very nice and heartwarming story, too bad nobody subbed it, so I'm leaving links to raw videos: part one, part two. Marin also played in this drama, she acted as a rival of Miyu's character.

Personally I got to know her from 2011 drama series Kaseifu no Mita which was reaaaally popular in Japan (last episode rating was 40%) - video can be downloaded there, subtitles there. Then I found her is special drama Sayonara Bokutachi no Youchien (video, subs). Another series she has prominent role is Kodomo Keisatsu (video, subs).

I wonder... Do the Honda kids go to school regulary or do they get privat lessons. Miyu is just 10 years old and you see her everwhere in TV and for her skating level she seems to have practiced a lot. Is there even time for something like school?

Here is video about Miyu competing at West Japan Elementary & Junior high school tournament - http://dai.ly/x23lked She got 2nd place in her class (Novice B, there were 24 girls competing), congrats! Protocols will be up later (last day of the competition is today), but you can see that she finally landed 3S she had problems with before~
ETA: protocols - http://www.jsfresults.com/local/2014...1/data0605.pdf So that 3S was downgraded, and combo and spin weren't counted, no wonder there is a noticeable difference in scores with first place.

Miyu and Marin are going to the USA on Aug 24 to polish choreography at the rink in Colorado where Tom Dickson is coaching.
