Missing Posts Due to Server Move - Feb 18 only

A number of posts from February 18th were lost (at least temporarily) during the server upgrade move.

The site owner is trying to round them up and recover them.

I lost a number of posts myself, and a thread I started.

Thanks, Doris. I thought I was going blooey looking at a nearly familiar thread. Sort of the opposite of déjà vu.

Hey, this is nothing compared to another forum I'm on (a bookworm forum). The entire site vanished one day. Took weeks to rebuild. All in a day's fun out there in the blogosphere, I guess.

What happened was that the provider did not give an exact time of the transfer (as they were supposed to) so I that I could close the forum and re-open later.

Unfortunately, those posts are gone forever.

I wondered at the time why the site was running so slow for me...I should have thought a bit and refrained from posting.

Had they given me an exact time (like they were supposed to), I would have "closed" the forum to avoid the missing posts.
