Any information on her as a skater? I haven't been successful in finding anything even though she is said to be a world class skater. What name did she skate under and what country did she represent?

Do you suppose she could be Valerie Moon? The article says she was married three times and her last husband's name was Brown. Fortune need not be her maiden name.

The lady in the article was born in England and would have been about twenty years old in 1947. Valerie Moon, I believe, came in second to Cecilia Colledge in the 1947 and 1948 British Professional skating championships. Here she is showing her dogs a few years later..

I'd guess she skated for England & was born in 1926. There were no World championships held between 1940-46 because of the War. So she was either young or older when she competed? I've never heard of her. Ask John Nicks?
