That first group was really painful to watch. And painful for the skaters crashing into the ice or each other as well. :p

I find it strange they aren't showing at all the Russian couple Kamila and Ivan in the warm up, the camera completely avoided them.
The first group was boring, I hope it gets better

Meiyi LI / Bo JIANG (CHN)

Music: Boundless (from "Big World")

3S - solid, he hangs on a bit

Difficult elements, but trouble on throws. They need more expression, also.

FS: 40.11 + 35.93 - 1.00 = 75.04
116.92, in 2nd (out of 5)

Quite low score, did they get an element called invalid?

It's a total splatfest so far. :disapp:

Not a single good performance yet. Everyone is all over the place.

Yes, the score for the Chinese couple was really low... maybe a lift...

Well, they were really terrible. :p

Well, they were really terrible. :p
They landed two sbs triples!! They were not bad at all for me! They made a couple of bad mistakes but I think they have the potential and I actually liked them artistically, too: at least they're not another Chinese pair skating to classical music with balletic movements copying the Hongbo and Zhao programs! :p The fact that the Ukrainians received a 38 PCS vs their 35 is really strange for me, I really think that Lavrentieva/Rudik were actually really terrible artistically! But that's my own opinion, as always...

Both of those triples were -1 GOE at best. They botched both throws, crashed on the twist and everything they did looked raggedy and muscled through. Their basics are terrible and they didn't even pretend to skate to the music. It was kinda as bad as gets. :p

It was just excruciating to see them attempt all that technical content when they can barely skate...

Lavrentieva/Rudik also ignored the music but their postures, lines and basic skating were far superior.

Good skate for F/M! I don't know how high the score can go, it depends on the PCS... Maybe a top5 performance?

Very nice clean skate. They don't have the difficulty to medal, but they should remain in mid top 10.

What a performance from the German pair! I really like them artistically too, their flow and elegance was a lot better even than F/M!!

I would have their score a bit higher, but perhaps they lost some levels

The Canadians lost a lot of points in the last three elements, I think: that BoDs was a B level, and the second lift was almost a level 1, too...

Oh come on! Proelss/Blommaert should have easily beaten Jones/Beharry thanks to the PCS. It's ridiculous that their PCS was almost equal given how raggedy and unfinished J/B's movements were. That's some seriously crap judging right there.
