    Anna Pogorilaya

While we're celebrating new discoveries from this season, I though Anna Pogorilaya deserved a thread. After all, Anna has medalled in all four of her international outings this year! I found that impressive when Yu Na Kim did it, and I find it impressive in this 14 year old!

Russia is lucky to have so many great young girls, but even in Russia, that kind of record is not a given.

I haven't found a website for her, but here is her ISU bio
    http://www.isuresults.com/bios/isufs00054344.htm

    Here is what tracings has:

I hope someone sends the tracings guys a picture of Anna!

    And here's Wikipedia
    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Anna_Pogorilaya

Her best scores were at the JGPF 2012, so here's links to her performances:

She's clearly learned a lot in the last year

She looks so tall, but she's still landing that 3/3

She's improved her presentation a lot. Still isn't very elegant but posture and the use of arms are better and her choreography is a bit more complex. And she still has her very impressive consistency.

I think that she's definitely in the running for one of the two Olympic spots.

Her record shows that she isn't much taller than Julia. I think it's the costume and posture.

Congratulations Anna for a very powerful senior GP debut!! She is already on fire, getting on the podium at each an every international competition she has entered so far. Plus, she knows what she is lacking and saying that she still needs to improve PCS. I don't care if she will get one of 2 olympic spots, hope she improves herself more. She will surely be a serious contender next quad if she does so. Love her, I am so excited for her future.

She really made me so happy this season so far!! Such a nice personality on the ice, aware of her targets and trying to improve more. Hopefully, she won't lose her ambition. Wishing her good luck for the GPF, and for all her entire career!!

loving Anna's body type, she is tall, lean and fit
could do well in modeling too like Gracie Gold
its safe to say she will stay thin like Gracie Gold, an envy body type for many figure skaters

I would say base on body type Anna will have longer career than Julia
Anna is the real deal, also has good 3-3 jumps

Good luck to Anna at worlds. She looks older than 15 and I hope she skates older than 15 too. Anna does look tall so it may take her longer to develop than say Yulia and Adelina.

British Eurosport on Anna's super Worlds 2014 SP. They loved it! "Amazing sophistication!" they say.

Thanks for the video. Anna was superb. She does not look 15. She is so very different from Yulia, Adelina and Elena in a good way. I guess the Federation was right to pick Anna to replace Adelina.

What place is she in? I hope she wasn't underscored.
