her pcs is even overscored a little, I think. But her tes is much lower than I expected. What went wrong?

YuNa seemed a little more tentative/slower than in the past. Also she seemed a bit withdrawn, not all-out performing. I couldn't see the take-off edge of the 3F from my stream, but it is what it is if so. I think 69.97 is a good score, all things considered.

This score is ridiculously low! What is wrong with the judges? Something is not right here.

Clean skate, good distribution in the program. But easy jumps

SP: 27.98 + 21.68 = 49.66 (PB)

Oh boy did Yuna look pissed off or what!?

Great jumps but otherwise it looked like she was ticking off each element and didn't have the old spark.
Spins not so great either.

Having not seen the program, I think she probably lost some levels on her spins (she seem to struggle to get the necessary features in practice). Plus the (e) call which could take out some GOE. (Her height should make more like 0 GOE).

I agree. The spins weren't that spectacular.

I'm glad this competition isn't yet a runaway; it makes it far more interesting.

That score is weird. For now, I'd say she was underscored, that should have broken 70 no doubt.
Guess I'll wait till the competition is trough though. Maybe the technical panel and/or jugdes are just that strict, and other clean, amazing skates won't receive as high marks as we're used to seeing now either.

But just remember that Ashley and Mao got 66+ at the GPF without 3-3 or 3Lz

Agreed... Let's wait and see how Mao, Ashley, and Caro are scored.

It reminds me of 2013 Jr.Worlds(for ladies' SP score).

She chose a difficult piece to work with. How exactly do you convey the "Kiss of the Vampire" to the audience?

I can't help but feel that if Yuna remained with Orser that skate would have gone over 75

I'm so surprised that she received wrong edge call for a solo 3F  because I think I've never seen her getting edge call for other than 3F-3T combination. Anyway, it was a fascinating performance (considering the lame program itself. :()

IIRC, the tech controller (or the specialist?) here is the same one from Jr. Worlds and is a known stickler. So she was not going to cut a break for anyone even Queen Yuna.

Exactly. Yuna was just going through the motions. Phoning it in should not garner a 70+ score.

Kersten Frank..those tights with your skin and a black dress...tragic!

I agree...very poorly packaged for such a muscular and powerful skater. My body style was like that when I skated and we put in a lot of time trying to find just the right shade of tights, fabric, cut, color, hair etc. to put a nice package together. The tights over the heels of the boots didn't help.

With that said, I enjoyed how solid her jumps were.
