Ross' USOC photoshoot - his portrait pictures. I love the front-on shot of the Russian split!

Ross had the best photo shoot of all the guys, I think. Of course it helps that he is such a cute "boy next door" type.

I agree. It was the most casual and relaxed. All of Max's poses, for example, were a bit weird.

Anyone know why Ross isn't skating in the U.S. International Skating Classic in Salt Lake?

I haven't heard anything. He didn't skate at Liberty either, and he usually competes there.

Ross's website lists his 2 GP events, and doesn't list anything else on his schedule. The above link has lots of articles about Ross

Miner wrote the first-ever blog post for US Figure Skating's "Destination Sochi Athlete Spotlight."

Ross is always so charming in the way he very naturally gives credit to his parents. There is always a slight sense of humor to his comments ("it didn't hurt that she was also director of day care") which only enhances one's sense for his "boy-ish" charm personality.

Hope Ross has a season he will be proud of.

Yes, that's exactly what I hope for him. And that he gets his quad salchow consistent, so that he is encouraged to keep skating, whatever his results. His joy in the sport shines through that blog, and through his skating!

Thanks, I'm glad he's updating his website. He must be behind in putting the new long program together I'm guessing as to why he's not doing the early competitions? Anyway, I can't wait to see his new programs, he is truly special to watch. I'm a little Leary about him using "the way we were" for his short program though. He has a rep for being boring (which I totally disagree with) but the critics may eat him alive with that one.

Is he possibly entered for the Cranberry Open this weekend? A lot of Boston skaters are?
