Additionally, it gives both a chance to get qualifying TES scores.

Haruka is usually a bit of a headcase these days. SP she always seems to have problems with, and for every good FS she puts out she also seems to put out a hot mess one that scores sub-100 or even sub-90 sometimes. She has the ability but recently, she's been more miss than hit unfortunately.

She's had two bad competitions out of six this season (and she still has a FS to skate), not bad at all! I'm happy for Fleur, I saw her at euros and she was in a disastrous shape, I'm happy that she finally nailed one program! It looks like the Men SP has been a splatfest...
Im talking about her overall career
she hit her all time career peak at Euros that's it, done.

    Also for Polina Edmunds.

Not for Karen Chen - Novice competitions scores are not usable for Minimum Technical Score.

I reckon by JGP, Karen Chen will be a bigger force than Polina E.

Polina E just posted a score of 107, landing 3Lz-3T and 3F-3T. Only mistake: singled the second 3F. Karen Chen also skated very very well.
Two very talented girls, I can't wait to see them on the JGP circuit

I love Taka's SP this season. Here he projects the music much much better than he's ever done before.
Such a shame he did not have chance to skate this program at any of the Championships...

Sure, glad to remind you again since it has been talked about since 4CC....I believe that Mroz W/D from 2 previous due to injury and Rippon need a few points to maintain a top 24 standing in world rankings. I salute USFS for having the foresight of getting as many skaters out in the GP next season as possible. The concept "Development" only works if the current skaters are supported.
Who should have gone in their place? I actually think they were good choices.
Is it better to send skaters out who are too young to even compete on the JGP like Vincent?

I believe Rippon already has qualifying TES he was set for 4CC.

TES of past season is for past and this season only. For next season is needed TES of this season (or to make it at next season).

Of course, Imai comes back with another solid FS. What's wrong with her SP all season?

Good girls, real competitors at JGP for Russian girls, who just now skate at Nationals Elder Age. All the best young ladies next season eligible for JGP (except Sakhanovich).

Hmmm, Polina E. will be next season age eligible for Senior Championships. She shows level of Gracie, doesnt't she?

Karen Chen and Polina E. were always the US skaters to watch out for next season this two will be fighting fo the Top JGP placements

I can only think of 5 skaters only that are consistent enough for JGP
Polina Edmunds, Karen Chen, Maria Sotskova, Evgenia Medvedeva and Serafima Sakahnovich
