Remembering Johnny Esaw
Johnny Esaw was already an established football and hockey reporter when he brought figure skating to the forefront. At a time when skating was all glitz and glamour, he saw through the glitter and saw the technical difficulty.
Wicked Yankee Girl
Johnny's commentary on Brian Boitano's LP at the 1988 Olympics was amazing. Boitano skated first. Johnny wanted to know where the 6.0's were. Debbie and Brian Pockar tried to explain, "Johnny, they have to save marks for Somebody Else," but Johnny was admant that a program that fine deserved some 6.0's.
Does anyone have a link to the 2011 program with Johnny?
