    This is not exactly a snapshot. It's a scene from a movie, Lady Let's Dance (1944). I am posting this in honor of Joesitz, Golden Skate's first moderator and a mainstay of the forum for many years. This is Belita, Joe's favorite professional skater.

    Here she has just finished her routine to Beethoven's Fifth Symphony in front of the Statue of Liberty. This famous show number featured seven Axels.

    Geez, now I feel like I have to find pictures of skaters doing some snowboard, basketball, or synchronized swimming moves.

    For me figure skating would not have been the same without Stef Brian and Dai! even though a number of people may criticize them for their shortcomings, such as almost non-existent 3A, lack of transitions or inconsistent quad.
