Ask and ye shall receive! Jeremy Abbott is going back to Muse for his LP! And, Robin Cousins will be choreographing his SP.
Has Robin Cousins done any choreo for CoP programs lately?
I'm very happy with Jeremy's choice! At least the goodbye will be a bit sweeter
Maybe a familiar program will prevent headcasing? :/
just wanted to add that I am a fan of these programs, for them!
Aaron and Settlage will be skating to "Smile," in a version by Itzhak Perlman, for their short program next season. Caterina Lindgren choreographed the program. Julie Marcotte is going to choreograph their free skate in a couple of weeks.
Angela Wang, who will continue to skate senior nationally and junior internationally next season, is also getting two new programs. Tom Dickson is choreographing the short to "A Beautiful Storm" by Jennifer Thomas. Wang couldn't quite remember the name of her free skate music; Lindgren is the choreographer.
"The long is more Spanish, I think," she said. "We just started it, and I haven't really listened to it a lot yet."
G/P SD will be a Caro Emerald medley!
I'm really excited, because I like a lot of Emerald's songs! I don't know which song can be a Finnstep, though... Any idea?
(And, Emerald's surname is "der Leeuw"... does it remember anything? )
For those to whom the name of Genereux is new (as it was to me last week), he apparently is well-known as a judge and choreographer for both the Canadian and American versions of So You Think You Can Dance. Jean Marc Genereux @JMGenereux also sent a few other tweets last week about working with V/M, such as:
What a great day! Creating choreo for #2010olympicchamps Scott and Tessa #theroadforsochi2014
6:32 PM - 8 Apr 13
@JMGenereux très talentueux!!!! Scott et Tessa, sont sérieux et déterminés! ....et ça #JACHETE
7:07 PM - 8 Apr 13
Davis/White apparently are working not only with Hough, but also (once again) with Elena Grinenko.
@Just1MoreMinPin @derekhough @Meryl_Davis @CharlieaWhite I worked with them this year as well love that job
8:31 PM - 19 Apr 13
And as previously discussed elsewhere on GS, the Shibutanis already worked with Corky Ballas once again within the last few weeks.
I do not watch DWTS, but my understanding is that Corky Ballas was (was/is???) Hough's teacher and they go way back together. Wonder if their relationship played any role in facilitating the collaboration of Davis/White and Hough? Maybe not, but maybe so.
For her exhibition, Gracie should skate to Fields of Gold next season! It would be so ironic.
Or "Silver Threads Among the Gold"
