who Artemyeva ? even if she was healthy her chance of making Euro Team is close to nil
she may have big jumps but she is 100% fold the headcase Sotnikova is

I know their height difference makes lifts awkward but I can't help myself, I love Stepanova/Bukin. They didn't skate good free dance at the Skate Canada and they didn't skate good short dance here. I hope they can skate better at the nationals because to me they are better than Riazanova/Tkachenko and Monko/Khaliavin.

How can you say that she had no chance? Of course she would have a chance. Did you think that Gosviani would make the team last year? You didn't and she managed to go to Europeans. I think Lipnitskaya and Sotnikova will be send to Europeans, but the third spot is quite open; Liza has not been skating well, so it will be to whoever delivers at the nationals. Anna probably has the biggest chance for the third spot, but if someone else delivered, I don't think they would try to give it to Anna anyway. They will send whoever skates well at the nationals. Last year has shown us that if that means sending someone who has no name over someone with a good name but the person didn't deliver, they will send the no name skater who did score higher.

This type of "movement" should happen more often, because this is in fact a sport and not a travesty marked through predefined protocols.

No, and thank God for that! She's just looking out for her at this competition for Victoria.

China has FINALLY sent their dance teams to an international competition. About time!

It's sad that only 24 single skaters qualified to the FS this time, given Menshov's famous 25th in the SP, 1st in the FS outing in 2009. Sad for the two ladies who had to be cut.

    Some info about Maria Artemieva.

    1. She has injury.
On November 20 the skater had a partial rupture of a buttock muscle because of what she wasn't fully ready to competition.

    2. She is girlfriend of Konstantin MENSHOV and they live together.

-Did they live as married couple?
    -No, mr. judge, much better!
