2013 Winter Universiade

I do wonder why USFSA hasn't sent anyone at all, in any division. Also, Canada has not sent anyone.

Mmmm. Just looked at the Eurosport TV Guide, and it looks like the only skating they are showing from the Universiade is the SPEED SKATING!!!

WHAT ABOUT THE FIGURE SKATING???!!!

Like, they seem to be showing everything else (ice hockey, biathlon, ski jumping, alpine skiing), so why not figure skating?!

NOT HAPPY!!!

Does anybody know where we will be able to watch it...???

Thanks for the links! I tried the link for the livestream a few times thoughout the day but, unfortunately, it looks like it is geo-blocked to the UK.

I was just looking at the results of the Men's SP, and I see Denis Ten has withdrawn. Anybody hear why?

Unfortunately for our Aussie members, neither Mark Webster (27th) nor Jordan Dobbs (31st) qualified for the Free Skate. Andrew Dobbs (21st) did qualify, though.

Song Nan has a massive lead (a full 11 points over Gordei Gorskov), but after that, the intervals are very small the rest of the way down the field. So, it should be an exciting Free Skate.

Hopefully the other categories will be just as exciting!

Mens FS begins in about 15 mins.

T-M are as from other planet to 3 to 5 places.
S-K are as from other planet to T-M.
Very-very different level.

T-M are very nice, S-K are excellent.

I have to look at Stolbova/Klimov's SP if scores are too inflated

70 SP score is Bazarova/Larionov range already,
they can beat them now at Russian nationals

I'm watching the Men FS right now (the Italian tv is showing it live): Gorshkov (former JGP medalist) skated really an incredible FS, without the quad but almost clean and with really nice choreography and interpretation and he is leading right now... All the others are making quite a lot of mistakes

I'm such a fan of his. What a great moment to win silver when all he wanted was top 5 and he wins the FS to boot ! He was so happy!!! :yay:

maybe they can salvage his career by dismembering Sinitsina/Zhiganshin partnership
