"This is a divorce," Amodio told the paper.
But having known Nikolai over the years, kind of predictive, right?...
A very wise decision by Florent, I think. Best of luck to him in the new season!!!

Another divorce I hope it was amicable. I hope he finds a permanent coach soon and that his
training does not suffer. Thanks for the info!

Florent is training with Alexei Yagudin!
Who are you training with at the moment and how is it going?

Katia Krier has done a great job in coaching me during this transition. I worked with her for only three weeks, but we were able to produce great and efficient work on the ice and all I can do is thank her for that.

You are currently training with Alexei Yagudin in Courchevel. How is that working out for you?

I suffer every single day. He teaches me so much. I feel honored to have the opportunity to work with him, when very few athletes have done it in the past. I enjoy every minute of it and I seize this wonderful opportunity and make the best of it, in order to be ready for 2014.

OMG, is it true Fabian is now Florent's coach? http://www.isuresults.com/bios/isufs00008739.htm Why nobody told me so?

I thought I will be able to watch mens figure skating with a more relaxing mode myself (less tense) this season, but I have a good enough reason to root for Florent in particular, don't I?! Good luck to Florent and his team in the new season!

Always love your enthusiasm, deedee. An IN article from the summer had a bit of discussion of Amodio and Bourzat's work together:

He had a rather rough start at the Lombardia Trophy but I always enjoy watching him, mistakes or no. Next weekend he will compete at the French Masters. If he doesn't win that one...I'll be worried.

And thank you from me for the link to the IN article, golden! Was an interesting read. Hope Fabian will be of a great help to him, especially skating skills and good programs/choreography.

My first encounter with Florent in a competition live was at the first World Team Trophy, back in April 2009. He competed still at the junior circuit in 2008-09 season, but did join WTT 1 with Brian Joubert as the second best French man and honorably placed 10th (SP 7th/LP 11th) to help the French team. He wasn't popular among Japanese skating fans yet, but he was a joy to watch and did capture audience hearts with his charm there.

ETA Loved your current avator. So cute!

Wow, hope that someone can translate the article, but it seem that during TEB Amodio didn´t go to any of the team meetings and skip the Gala.

The president (I think) of France Skating Federation thinks that Amodio need to take part of the responsability for his bad results, and work hard. He thinks he is wasting his career.

I don´t know it´s somebody can talk a little about Amodio off ice persona, some commentor of broadcast always talk to him like someone with no dicipline and bad personality but I have never read nothing concrete about it until now.

Amodio skipped the gala (confirmed by ISU), skipped the meetings (it's a plural so he hasn't missed only one) and skipped the "party" for Papadakis and Cizeron.
Amodio explains his altitude goes with the rigour he wants to have. He wasn’t well after his bad result. He says he wants an external eye and someone who tells him if he’s ready or not to go in a competition
Gailhaguet says he wants to change the mentalities of the french skaters
