Russian teams would seem to have the advantage with representation on both tech and judge panels plus an assist from UKR and LAT.

nice debut for Chernivskaya and Mini Szolkowy

I loved the detailed choreography in Chernivskaya/her pertner's program (tough name to remember). Really lovely. Only judge acknowledged this and gave them a 7, the other ones, like always, scored all 5 components in block :disapp:

bad assignment because they could easily get into top 3 in another pair entry but they had tough competition here

Yu/Jin have improved a lot in terms of skating skill, body line and presentation... They are in different level from the other pairs in the competition

I agree: the high PCS was absolutely well-deserved! They are now not skating like jumping-robots anymore!

I liked the overall program and the stand out for me was the step sequence which I thought it went well with the music. I think it was the effect of 2 pretty skaters skating to a pretty song because on the second view, the choreography is nothing special. Their movements go nicely with the music and that's about it. One judge felt the same think since he gave them a 7
Anyway, the little magic I saw in them yesterday was completely gone today in the Lp.
