YEEESSSSS! Mirai pretty clean, spotted one 2-foot and who knows how the judges see UR's. Really hope this puts her on the podium. ETA: Agree this needs more expression and performance quality, she saved it all until the end.

ETA: She looks really disappointed with the scores.

Nice effort from Mirai!

I only wish she'd shown more expression to sell the program a bit better. You can clearly see her thinking as she's about to jump. It's like she almost pauses.

Lipnitskaia is amazing. Liza needs sp lessons. I just see Julia crushing everyone else eligible for the Russian title and it won't be close among eligibles and Julia is the best and not by a little.

Tuk is really a good FS, her SP though probably less than 5% clean

Mirai was on, but low TES maybe UR ? PCS in 57+

Julia is actually realu realy good, and despite her young age unlike radionova, she dosent look like a kid out there. She really improved PCSs too! She deserves to go to sochi over both sotnikova and tuk

Does anyone think there is any hope for Mirai's URs at this point? I want to have hope, but it is so hard.

Protocols are up. (Ladies FS: http://www.figureskatingresults.fi/results/1314/FT2013/FT2013_Ladies_FS_Scores.pdf)
Mirai got 3 UR and 1 DG...
And Julias score is so low due to non-existent GOE on her jumps.

And Artur looks happy during the medal ceremony. So great to see after last season!

some of he jumps were a bit clunky but its still early in the season
what Julia gets mistakes on her jumps she makes up for it with level 4 spin with +GOEs

not surprised by Mirai's UR but she looked really disappointed

I really can't believe this problem is not solvable, but she and her team evidently need to do something different. Work with Krall for awhile???? I really don't know.
