Bell likely to make final flight for FS now, of the remaining skaters, I only see 4 skaters capable of topping her score (Hongo, Seguin, Ogoreltseva, and Han - and I doubt all of them will even pass her). Low PCS for Kaiumova. I wonder if we could see the Americans go 1-2 here, it would give them both a good shot at qualifying for the JGPF.

And Hongo gets a 48.09. Bell remains in 2nd. If anyone passes Edmunds, it'd probably be Ogoreltseva. If.

Hey, Netta Schreiber of Israel just upped her PB by a little more than 7 points. Not bad.

just as I predicted, Kayumova is a non factor
and she rightfully gets low pcs and she is slow too

only Natalia can challange if she lands her 3Lo-3lo SP and 3Lz-3Lo in the LP
btw she comes from the same region/state as Tuktamisheva, in Udmurtia

No 3-3 but impressed with Natalia regardless! Her spins and speed were great. Interesting she comes from the same region of the country as Tuk, she has blonde hair and appears much taller than Tuk, and I thought that the Udmurt were generally darker (hair, complexion) and shorter compared with those from Western Russia.

Ogoretlseva used to be very good and consistent, she used to do 3lo-3lo-3lo
finished 5th at junior nationals 3 years ago behind Radionova but seems puberty hit her hard
she isn't that tall but she filled out and looks wide, she is not blonde she dyed her hair blonde just this season

Ogoreltseva looks heavy for a figure skater like Tuktamisheva who is from Udmurtia also
and both have weight issues now.

Well, I really liked Edmunds, and I thought that her PCS should have been 7+ for TR, PE and IN (as one of the judges), but this is a JGP, so the judges usually don't give high marks... why???! Except that, her 3-3 looked really good, it was close, but not badly UR as Chen's. Impressed by Ogoreltseva, her program was really beautiful, without a 3-3, yes, but everything was performed cleanly and with good and mature skating... Well done! I hope she lands her 3Lo+3Lo in the FS... Giada Russo in 8th!! :yay: Shame for the fall, but she's at least trying the 3Lo...

Well my predictions are way off so far, but that tends to happen in ladies events.

However I am seriously unimpressed by all of them. I didn't expect them to be that all over the place....

I don't see any of them making the final except maybe Edmunds but she doesn't even come close to Medvedeva IMO

Natalia could still try 3lo-3lo or 3lz-3lo in the FS, she couldn't in the SP because the solo jump is 3lo, so her combination is not much of a surprise. And maybe going through puberty earlier will help her in that she gets all the adjustment issues out of the way before going to seniors. I thought her jumps and spins were very good. And if she is going to struggle with puberty, better now while on the JGP than in a couple years when competing in seniors, it seems that seemed to have effected both Sot and Tuk on a psychological level and has contributed to their inconsistency in competitions as of late.

i don't think natalia is heavy at all, i think she looks very healthy. how old is she? she looks about 15 to me. even though she doesn't have a 3+3 in her short everything is great, i'm already a fan. i love her skating. polina had a good skate, and mariah needs to step it up but i still love her, although i feel her expression was lacking a bit compared to her other programs. maybe the long will be different.

Natalia is actually only 13, but she does look older. I think she has great height in her jumps as well as very flexible spin positions and good presentation.
