I agree. Her problem apart from her jumps is her choreographs. Seems to me that the Russian judges prefer the programs that pack with footwork throughout the entire programs(quantity not quality). Sadly her approach is to show her skating skills which obviously not the judges' favourite. Hope she will get more chances next year.

I don't think the low PCS was because of her choreography. choreography is only one of five things that are in PCS. I think she was kept low because she doesn't have name. But after the last season I think she will be better known to the judges; she has been pretty consistent, so her PCS could go now higher.

Any more information about these talented girls? I would like to know such things like when they were born, who their coaches are, and what kind of jumps they can do, etc...

Also, I thought this competition was for the children born in the year 2003 and 2004 but Gubanova was born in 2002... (even though she was born in December, which is almost like 2003...). Does that mean there is no strict age limitation?

    Thanks!

Anastasia Gubanova born 02 Dec 2002, coach Alexey Urmanov.
She landed 3F first in competition being 8 years 11 months old (3F was her first triple).
Three-times medalist of Zhuk Memorial (twice in younger age, once in elder age), 7th place in JrNats-2014, after Sakhanovich, Sotskova, Proklova, Medvedeva - "splendid four", very talented Tsurskaya, Yuschenko. Ahead Kajumova, Ogoreltseva etc. They all are at least one and half years elder (Tsurskaya) or about 3 years or more elder (others).
All five triples, 3F+3T combo. No edge call at 3F and 3Lz. Spins 4 level, StSq 3 level (at most). Very good for her age interpretation, choreo and other oprogram components.

Alina Solovieva born 11 Feb 2002, coach Oksana Bulycheva (new young unknown), 3rd place Zhuk Memorial 2013.
4 triples (no 3Lz), 3F+2T+2Lo, no 3+3 combo. Spins 3-4 level, StSq 3 level (at most).

Alisa Fedichkina born 14 Feb 2002, coach Irina Deminova (Rostov-on-Don), 4 place Nationals Elder Age 2014.
All five triples. No edge call at 3F and 3Lz. Combo 2A+3T+2T, no 3+3 combo. Not very high jumps, but with good distance. Spins 3 level, StSq 3 level (at most). Good for her age program components, nice skating.

Elizaveta Nugumanova born 25 Aug 2002. Coach Tatiana Mishina. 4th place at Zhuk Memorial (elder age) 2014.
All five triples, combos 3S+3T, 3Lo+1Lo+3S. Spins 3-4 level, StSq 3 level.

Daria Zainchukovskaya born at 2003. Coach Natalia Korelina, 9th place at Zhuk Memorial (younger age) 2014.
One triple 3Lo, ofter URed, Spins 3-4 level, StSq 2 level.
Her 5th place at SP - because Mitrofanova had 2 deductions.

Ekaterina Mitrofanova born 05 May 2002. Coach Anna Tsareva (her best known skater Anna Pogorilaya).
4th place Zhuk Memorial younger age 2013.
    4 triples (no 3Lo). Combos 3T+3T and 2A+3T+2T. Spins 1-4 level, StSq 2-3 level.

She is not coming quite yet. We will have to wait for her for another two years before she is even eligible for JGP and junior worlds.

Thank you so much for the detailed info!

Can I ask one more question? How come the young skaters who participated in the previous Russian Nationals younger Age (Zhuk memorial) on March 22-25 didn't compete in this First All-Russian Spartakiad of Sports Schools? There were young skaters whose names I am not familiar with, such as Ryabova, Tarusina, Vasilyeva, Muhortova, Varina, Diana Davis, Kadyrova, etc... Are these girls too young to participate in this event? If possible, could you also provide information about these girls as well? Russian just has so many talented girls and I want to know and follow their progress from a very young age. Thanks again

    1. Not all the regions participated in Sparetakiad. Only that which were the best in preliminary competitions. There were 19 regions of about 90.
No Kazan, so no Yasmina Kadyrova from Kazan.
    2. All the skaters from region (up to 2 boys and up to 2 girls) must be from the same sports school, chosen by region.
So Ryabova, Tarusina, Vasilyeva, Muhortova, Varina, who are of other Moscow sport schools, may not participate.
    3. Sports school may have more than 2 age eligible good skaters. Moscow's Sambo-70 (part of which is skating school 37) sent Alina Solovieva and Ekaterina Mitrofanova, not Diana Davis.
