Poor Lena, her technique's so lost :( I associate her FS music strongly with Yuna who performed it so brilliantly at the Olympics. Not sure if it was the right choice for Lena.

9 skaters still to go and already a total of 24 points taken off from the rest of the field in deductions. Splatfest, much?

And Mariah Bell of USA gets 84.27 in the FS. No fall deductions, but it's nearly 20 points worse than her Mexico FS score. Eek.

Splatfest and "let's all do Yuna style" fest Loved Miyabi's Miserables even if it reminds me a lot of Yuna's (which was way more magnificent). Her dress btw is just like Yuna's FS dress in the Olympics :D I'm waiting what we'll see from the remaining skaters (Dance Macabre? Tango de Roxanne? Miss Saigon?) haha

Angela Wang's still in first, but she's currently 2nd in the FS. 3 points of deductions. Wow.

This much splatting, I'd think ice problem.

definitely some ice problem here, too many falls

Medvedeva with 1 fall but getting a SB, maybe she did two 3-3 ?

Dang it! I really wanted Angela to put out a good performance! :( Gold is out of the question but depending on how the other ladies skate, she may have done enough in the SP to stay on the podium...maybe even hold on to silver. She had a 7 point lead over Na Hyun Kim coming in. Kim needs 101.36 to unseat Angela for silver...her SB is 95.83.

She didn't fall, must have been a time deduction

Medvedeva with 1 deduction (though not fall), Daleman 1 deduction, Saarinen, 2 deductions.

Yep. Methinks ice issue. This is ridiculous.

Though Angela with 3 deductions still beat Mariah with none, by 10 points.

    No idea.

It's actually much sadder if this is not an ice (or other environmental) issue.

Yesterday's totals: 18 deductions in the men's that were falls (plus the one for a music violation)
12 fall deductions for the ladies.

Now? We're up to 32 total deductions from the ladies (31 if you don't count Medvedeva's which was reportedly not a fall). That's sad.
