Hello GS friends, I just wanted to share with you all my proud moment today!
I finished my third half-marathon of 2013! When I'm not talking to you all and watching skating, I'm out running.
It took me 2:58 or so to run it today, which is slow for some of you, but for me, exciting as it was my best time out of the three, and it came on a course with numerous hills! The course, however, was an absolute pleasure, I ran though lots of beautiful apple orchards and hop fields. A great rural half-marathon course. The weather, which started in the 40s and ended up in the 50s, was perfect.
Considering I struggled to run one mile when I was in middle school, to do 13+ (and do it multiple times) as an adult make me feel great!
Thank you for humoring me as I share this exciting news.
Now I'm going to get a burger, my favorite post-race treat.

Congratulations! I walk a lot, but the longest distance I've run is 2 1/2 miles.(And I ran it very slo-o-o-owly.) How nice for you to get to run through orchards and fields on a fine day! I'm only sorry we weren't there in that lovely scenery to cheer you on.
