A little information on Madison's health: http://web.icenetwork.com/news/2013/...t-skate-canada
Weaver and Poje train in Detroit, often in the same practices as the American team of Madison Hubbell and Zachary Donohue, who placed third with 153.20 points.
Hubbell and Donohue, who finished fourth a week ago at Skate America, were relieved to finish as well as they did at Skate Canada. Hubbell has been coping with some pain in her hip, and then during the morning practice, Donohue accidentally elbowed her in the head.
"Skating tonight was a question of if I could get through it," Hubbell said, adding, "We're very happy to have pushed through it and are really happy to get a week off."
I hope that she is not seriously injured and that some rest is all she needs. They have had 3 competitions in the last month!! They deserve a little R&R!
Congratulations to Madison & Zach for winning their first GP medal, and for achieving personal best scores in both the FD and SD, as well as overall!
Someone on their Facebook page posted that H/D will be on WDIV news Detroit (http://www.clickondetroit.com) Wednesday morning at 6:30 AM.
Think they meant, Tuesday morning: http://www.clickondetroit.com/sports...z/-/index.html

Really nice site, UMBS Go Blue!!! What a nice Christmas present for their fans!
All it needs is a video section, with links to their best performances
I agree, would be great to have a video section to view their performances in one place w/o searching through Youtube.
She recalls vividly when she once broached the subject of giving up skating, as a youngster. “Well, there was just no way. He said he’d run away from home, sleep on the ice, and drive the Zamboni if he had to. That’s when I knew how much skating meant to him.”
Thanks for sharing blancanieves. Love your quote from the article.
Wishing Zach a very happy birthday!! (Wouldn't a podium finish be a wonderful birthday week present?)
Best of luck to Hubbell/Donahue at 4CC this week! Love their programs this year!! They have done well considering Hubbell's injuries.
