Elise Hamel's son, Nicolas Biron, Passes....

To all our friends in the skating world,

It is with sadness that we heard about the tragic accident that happened to Nicolas, the son of our dear former coach Elise Hamel. Elise has been with Catherine and Charles since the beginning of their competitive career and she remained a good friend of the family.

The article is in French. Nicolas passed as a result of trauma to the head in a skiing accident.

Also, Elise's daughter was very sick a few years ago, which is why she quit coaching then. Her daughter suffered from infantile Leukemia (it's currently in remission, but could come back).

The funeral for Nicolas will be Wednesday in Laval, Québec.
