But Duhamel and Marcotte both loved the song and now, in one of the very few times in the history of Olympic figure skating, a team will skate to their own music at a Games. Radford admits that’s a risk. International judges aren’t always known for appreciating music that isn’t a traditional figure skating piece. But the couple believes that Tribute will turn heads.
“I think there’s no better time to do it than at the Olympics, the whole world will be watching, and that’s the most inspirational time of our careers,” said Duhamel, a native of Lively, Ont.
