Happy:-I had my evaluation for my interpretive today. I skated the program well, but kinda scratchy. I got good feedback from the judge, and changed things to suit what she said.
-did a GREAT 2 sal. My coach even stopped one of her lessons to comment on it.
-3 Nice run throughs of my interpretive after the evaluation. Added more arms and facial expressions.
-My knees didn't really hurt today. It was nice to skate pain free, well sort-of.

Sad:-No 2 loops today <img border=0 src="http://www.ezboard.com/intl/aenglish/images/emoticons/frown.gif" />
-yelled at for having a "tea party" on the ice. The other skaters came to me.....really! I swear! I was tying my laces and they all just flocked around me.
-double twizzles clockwise. grrr.........they don't work very well

Happy: My coach taught me an Ina Bauer and I'm getting it.... slowly. We worked on technique a lot -- crossovers, mainly. Didn't take very long, but it's a lot to try and remember for one stinkin' crossover! :) Also (nothing to do with skating) I'm || close to passing my nemesis class, chemistry!!!!!!!!! I'm so excited!!

Sad: My left boot is really giving me a painful time. I think it should be punched out or something... it's too narrow for my foot and REALLY hurts my arches (I have high arches).

Good for you about the sal and the runthroughs! Can't wait til I'm landing singles consistently. Then I can rant and rave.

Happy: -More good run throughs of the interpretive. If I keep going at this rate, I'll pass for sure! The little changes my coach made really helped a lot with making everything better.
-my 2 sals are on FIRE! I got a rating of 8.75/10 from my coach and 2 other of her skaters during our group lesson.
-landed a really nice 2 loop and loop, 2 loop combos.
-I didn't have to do stroking today. Got a group lesson instead!

Sad: -2 toes. Let's not go there, shall we?
-Flying camels. Ditto.
-2 flips. Same.

Lanechka, good job with the ina bauers. When you're doing them, make sure that your shoulders and hips are square, and that your weight is on your front leg. Good job about Chemistry too! Keep up the great work!

Happy skating!

Another good solid lesson and practice today. Freestyle program feels really good. Had three solid runthroughs, two with music. I'm feeling relaxed and not rushed and my speed is good. Changed a little with the arms in the footwork program. (I hate to say this, but we "cuted" it up a bit. What the heck, it works!!). One more day of practice tomorrow and a quick lesson and practice Sat. Morning before competition.

Interestingly, I may get my first shot at "shadow judging" tomorrow night during the spotlights at my ISI competition. I'll be taking the ISI Bronze judges test at the ISI convention in two weeks, so this should be a good experience to try my hand at it. I don't compete on Friday and we'll try to fit it in between me ice monitoring.

Happy skating, everyone!!!

Yazmeen - good luck with the shadow judging and ESPECIALLY on your competition. We want to hear all about it. Sounds like you've had some amazing practices.

I haven't skated all week because I've been running a trade show, so I'm chomping at the bit to get back into it tomorrow. Hope I haven't forgotten how to do anything!
