    One article doesn't list Gracie and Ashley as top contenders for the Olympic Team...

    That's why I have a hard time taking predictions that far out seriously!

    The girls mentioned in the article have a shot at the third spot, anyway.

    Well just think back in 2007 who would have thought at that time Kimmie Meissner wouldn't be on the 2010 team but two teenagers only 13 and 14 at the time would make the team instead.

    People thought Meissner was the next Michelle Kwan back then.

    Not really. Kimmie was a good skater but i think people even back then were looking at her to hold down the fort while the next great US skater came along.

    Interesting quote about Hicks:

    "She is a very athletic girl, and fearless, and when you've got the combination of those two, you've got something going," Nicks said. "She's more athletic than anyone I've ever taught. She rotates quicker in the air than anyone I've ever had, and she doesn't seem to have any nerves at all, at least for now. She does have a lot to learn as far as presentation."

    Still applicable today.
