Any word on the status of Filipino skaters and their families?

Purely anecdotal:

@ChrisCaluza has tweeted more than once with prayers for those who are on the ground in the Philippines, including his family. And I found the following tweet from him poignant:

Today is a great day because I'm still here. :)

(Lest you wonder, the smiley face is part of what he tweeted.)

Within the last few days, @melbulanhagui has tweeted about other things (e.g., an article about herself in a Manila publication), but not about the typhoon.

As far as I know the only Ice rinks in the country are in Manila, which was not affected by the typhoon so I'me guessing all the skaters in the country are safe

There is an ice rink in Cebu, which is pretty close to Tacloban, the area most affected by the typhoon. I do not know offhand if any of the competitors come from Cebu, but I wouldn't be surprised.

I run into Chris every so often here in San Diego, and he's excited about next week's nationals.
