The first warm-up is underway.

Coomes/Buckland's and Papadakis/Cizeron's ISU biographies are still not updated. :(

Orford/Williams - I can't speak for the levels but this was a really strong performance! Very good expression, quite detailed upper body movement and a fair amount of transitions as well.

Only Lv1 for both step sequences.

Good luck V/M..

As if they'll need it. :p

Good luck V/M..

I hope they will put everything together - both technical and presentation side and I'm dying from unpatience to see the eventual changes in their fd...And finally I hope their changed their SC costumes - I don't personally like them

What's going on with Orford/Williams? They are getting lower scores this year than on the GP last year, when they looked so promising.

Coomes/Buckland: really disjointed cuts of MJ make for an odd program construction and I don't think it suits them well. Also looks a bit sloppy and undertrained, with some of the lifting scarily clumsy. I seem to remember they had some sort of injury issue in summer or earlier in fall which might have affected training time.

Coomes/Buckland - This would be an excellent exhibition. As a competitive program, however, the technical difficulty is just not there. They are expressive and entertaining but their movement and positions aren’t accentuated and extended well, making it look quite messy. Their edges are quite shallow for an ice dance team and there was a lot of skating apart or side-by-side.

Monko/Khaliavin - A sharp performance with technical elements executed to quite a high standard. The program however seemed very bizarre. It looked like random movement to random music. If you add those ridiculous costumes to the mix, the end effect was a big bucket of 'what the hell'.

I agree. I still can't see the point of this dance. Her height doesn't bother me, it's her size, she looks like a big girl....but with that costume cut and horizontal stripes that visually and unfortunately widen the wearer, I can't tell.

The Monko/Khaliavin FD makes no sense. The random cut from Lucia di Lammermoor - what is that supposed to mean? How does it relate to the schoolkid outfits? Bizarre, yet dull.

P/C program is :love: (love especially the final choreographic spin!) the mistake in the twizzles will cost them something, though
