Pigs CAN fly!
Yes, It was great! Did you miss my last commentary about it, LOL. My favorite Kwan program, it was so dark. I still say, that program in Salt Lake wins gold.

I think he'd do great with this cool hippy anthem.
It would be different. It would be memorable. And I think a good choreographer could deliver a great CoP SP with it. The flute solo begs to be choreographed into a step sequence.
Oh, that would make a great program! He'd totally suit it!

It would be cool if more people skated to bluegrass (and its variations) because a lot of it is quite good!
And Yo-Yo Ma has been doing some awesome music exploration though The Silk Road Ensemble, which is made up of musicians from around the world. Instead of Scheherazade, why not something like this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fZpEjrdf56k
Well, there are probably a few different skaters who could do it, because several bits and pieces are slower than others. I think Max would be more suited to "Stopwatch", "Into the Red" and "Watkins Glen", where someone like Jason could probably do "1976", "For Love" and maybe "Inferno", and I think Josh could give us a really beautiful version of "My Best Enemy" (and "Lost But Won").

I find this particularly interesting because Jason only does one conventional spin (2:07 - the flying layback) and one conventional jump (2:24, a double Axel). The rest is pure choreography. And he does it well.

Obviously I agree. I guess you can add bluegrass to the smorgasbord of music genres that Jason has skated to over the years.

That said, Garrett Kling choreographed Kiri Baga's SP this year, so he's getting his feet wet doing COP-friendly choreography. The program music, however, is the warhorse also known as Sasha Cohen's Olympic SP, "Dark Eyes." I do think Kiri makes a good effort skating to the music and there are some nice choreographic touches.
Agreed. Anyone who decided to skate to Zelda would be epic. This 4:30 orchestral version would be epic for any discipline:

Video game music really has changed! Who should do the Orchestral music for Zelda?
Skaters seem to already have discovered Two Steps From Hell, so I'm glad about that.
A rather random selection of some of my favourites:
And so on, and so forth.
Hi I'm new here and I would love someone to skate to Lovers-Mei and Jin or Flower Garden from the movie House of Flying Daggers and Yumeji's theme from the movie In The Mood For Love all of these songs are composed by Shigeru Umebayashi, To Kill A Mocking Bird theme by Elmer Bernstein, and Adagio for Strings by Samuel Barber. I would also love to hear some pieces from Joe Hisaishi and Ryuichi Sakamoto.
Wicked Yankee Girl
Welcome to Golden Skate, Gigi!
Peng & Zhang are skating to House of Flying Daggers this year! I don't know which songs from the movie they used, though. Some skaters have used Joe Hisaishi's music, including Howell's Moving Castle.
I would like to see Davis & White do an exhibition to She by Elvis Costello.
Doris, Peng & Zhang are actually using music from Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon for their SP; this is the song they are skating to: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ApWFXugUKG4
Gigi13, Mirai had a terrific SP in the 2009-2010 season that used a piece by Joe Hisaishi (Fragile Dreams). Kozuka has also skated to music by Hisaishi: his 2011-2012 LP was to the Nausicaa soundtrack. Chen Lu also had a LP to Nausicaa back in 1994.
As for Ryuichi Sakamoto, Satoko Miyahara uses his music for her SP this season (the soundtrack to Merry Christmas, Mr. Lawrence). Chen Lu's marvelous 1995 LP was skated to music from the soundtrack of The Last Emperor, to which Sakamoto contributed.
As an aside note, here is some useless trivia: even though it was made famous by In the Mood For Love, the song Yumeji's Theme is originally from another movie named (you guessed it!) Yumeji, about a Japanese poet and painter.
