My pleasure ionap and cdngirl. :) Tatsuki also joked something to the effect that his parents making him wear shorts in all his years in elementary was child abuse. He must have gotten some teasing regarding that, but I guess they did it because he he was so tiny (still is actually).

And for those who may think that Tatuski sorely lags behind Daisuke and Yuzuru in the ability to set hearts aflutter, just saw this in my Tumblr dashboard: https://twitter.com/yumitan1707/status/466290070815662080. What a great way to start the morning! :)

Tatsuki had a meeting with the governor of the Osaka prefecture today. He said this year's silver at the World Championship has motivated him to work hard and win the next World Championship next year in China. He said something in the lines of "I want to present a new me".

Daisuke looks to have more freely imbibed of his favorite (Asahi) beer (note the three empty beer mugs) than Tatsuki and Nobunari. Rather than looking like celebrated figure skaters, they look like three salarymen unwinding after a hard day's work. ;)

We certainly saw a new Tatsuki last season in terms of more stability in his jumps and also impressive mental strength leading to consistent results. So this "new me" sounds very intriguing: Is he going to show us a different kind of program, joyous and upbeat (sorry jombi ;))? Is he going to jack up the technical content in his programs? Is he, not Javier or any of the young guns, going to emerge as Yuzuru's chief rival for world domination in skating?

I for one want Tatsuki to silence those critics claiming that his silver medal finish in Saitama was due to home ice inflation by a brilliant showing in Shanghai in next year's Worlds.

You are very right, his medal finish in Saitama was anything but home ice inflation in my opinion. That SP surely deserved more than 98 points (and I think his PCS were lower than Yuzuru's PCS for the SP - correct me if I'm wrong) because it was flawless. There was no home inflation needed for him to achieve that score. Many would probably disagree though.

I hope he increases his technical content in the LP or SP and also surprises us with different programs. I'm excited to see more of his new EX for now, and we will hopefully get to see something nice on Sunday, when he attends the charity show with Dai, Akiko and Kanako.

You're correct, Tatsuki's PCS for his 2014 Worlds SP was 45.39, while Yuzuru got 45.50. (http://www.isuresults.com/results/wc2014/wc2014_Men_SP_Scores.pdf)

And in the 2014 Worlds LP, Tatsuki's PCS of 90.2 is lower than Yuzuru's 91.42 and Javier's 91.18.

I think 98 for his SP was fair enough. It was of course very beatifull program but I don't think it deserved more. Comparing to Yuzuru's record SP, he was not doing 3A in 2nd half, he skated with less speed comparing to him, he was not doing any special transition to 3A as I remember, so I think even without that his TES was very high, PCS let's say jumped a bit, but I think it was ok for that performance :)

Maybe his PCS for LP was quite high comparing to Yuzuru, but top3 had very similiar PCS so I think it was fair enough for that amazing top3 battle


I am interested to see if he can build on that next season and maintain that lvl, or raise it up, or it was just one very inspired event ;)

I didn't say he should have scored over 101, and didn't comment on his TES because I know Yuzuru had higher base value. I was only saying his PCS shouldn't have been lower than Yuzuru's, who fell on his quad. But PCS are indeed overall inflated and it's a controversy that has caused many arguments these past years.

I'm interested in knowing what the Japanese captions mean in Tatsuki and Yuzuru and Sharing a room in Sochi with Daisuke . Help please and thanks in advance. :)

I can only read the hiragana and katakana so I can only say in the second fanart as Tatsuki is speaking to Daisuke, Daisuke had already fallen asleep and Tatsuki says "Dai-chan? Are you listening to me?" :biggrin:

Maybe somebody can translate the rest and correct me if I'm wrong.
