Obscure? They skated in SOI for a few seasons. I think Marie France also did some seasons of Battle of the Blades in Canada. Too bad we didn't get to see that aired in the USA

I agree that these two are far from obscure, but it's nice to tip our hats to them here. I loved their style, romantic in a mature way. They represented Canada with distinction.

Well I never see them mentioned much, that's why I listed them.

And a team I liked a lot, Klara Engi & Attila Toth. They qualified for 3 Olympics, finishing as high as 7th., and they were as high as fourth at Worlds. They were Hungarian champions for eight straight seasons between 1984-1985 to 1991-1992

Here's their 1992 FD to the Olympics.

The commentators are wrong, BTW. They were at Sarajevo, as well as Calgary, where they finished 16th.

My faves would have to be:

    Anita Hartshorn & Frank Sweiding
Michelle McDonald Wheeler & Martin Smith
    Sandra Garde
Hartshorn and Sweiding are not obscure at all. Although they didn't skate together as non-professionals, they had a great professional career. I can still see her popping open that handkerchief in, I think it was, 1492. And weren't they famous for the one-handed Detroiter. I could watch them all day.

Vanessa Giunchi. Don"'t know if she's been mentioned here before. But she gave me the "wow" moment surrounded by all these glittering rhinestone baby princesses.

Oh, and the Hugentoblers - loved their Piazzolla OD or FP , can't remember.
