Parsons/Parsons gets 70.49, about 8.5 back from their personal best, for a total of 116.60

I feel bad for them that Michael fell on the twizzles in the SD. That's got to be rough. They're capable of more than that.

Nazarova/Nikitin get 71.85, with a deduction. Extended lift? Or a fall? Their PB is 82.89 from Tallinn this year, so there's quite a difference. Total is 123.17 and they're ahead of Parsons/Parsons.

McNamara/Carpenter up next. :D

Lorraine and Quinn medal! (They're my favorite US Junior team.)

Hawayek/Baker ahead in the FD because of PCS. M/C have the highest TES by almost 1.5 points, wow.

Y/M have about the slowest most boring FD ever and will get the hugest score. Then they will move up to the GP and become another mediocre Russian alsoran.

I thought they were fine. Kustarova did a lovely job with them. Hopefully their transition to seniors will be smooth. Y/M are lovely and athletic. H/B remind me of V/M in a good way. V/M will really leave a legacy for young ice dancers coming up.

Junior Dance at Nationals will be exciting. All three teams here will be fighting for those podium spots in Boston.

McNamara and Carpenter both need to work on their extension (him in particular), matching their lines more, and finishing their moves. They're a bit rough around the edges. But they have loads of potential.

Hawayek and Baker have more musicality and polish, at least for now. I thought the placements here were accurate. Love their music.

Phew--nice to see the US has some really exciting up-and-coming couples in dance.

Congratulations to both H/B and M/C on their medal performances! They were both wonderful, and can't wait to see them both live.
How old are M/C? Can they get another year of JR in?

I think they have at least another year of eligibility. Age rules for the ice dance guys is changing, so I'm not sure.
