I love watching movies that make my mind reel for hours after watching it.

Final Destination: Okay, so it was a teen-flick, but the idea sure made me think. Does death have a path? If you escape it once, are you still inevitably in its path?

Identity: HOLY didn't see the ending of this movie coming. Made me think I might have hidden personalities and that I might be the one going crazy..

The Hand that Rocks the Cradle: Arg...it just gives me shivers.

The Scream trilogy: WHO to trust?!

Schindler's List really made me think.

Also:

The Pianist
The Hours

There are lots more, but I will have to give this more thought!!!

Actually, one of the ones I'd say would be - Legally Blonde. I know, chick flick and all that, but I actually really like that film. It made me think about things like how you should be true to yourself, how you should be independent and not let other people (e.g. guys) rule your life, how you should be strong, etc. It's a story of a girl defying the odds and the insults and ending up a much stronger person at the end of it. It may sound silly but I actually find it kind of inspiring.

I saw the name of this thread and immediately thought of these:

"Mulholland Drive" - WOW! A complete mindscrew! (Actually,
almost any movie David Lynch has ever done requires a lot of
reflection afterwards)
"Momento" - Definitely requires more than one viewing, which
I have failed to do as of yet.
"Russian Ark" - A BEAUTIFUL film! But, owing to the single shot
style there is so much taking place that it is almost impossible to
catch even half of what is going on.

I don't like to think when I go to the movies. I think all day long: contracts, work, work, work, PTA, etc. I enjoy it all, but when I go to the movies, I want to turn it all off and just relax!
