Gee.. where is everyone ? At the 2 national competitions ?..

I usually don't even try to post during , because I'm so slow on the keyboard ..and madly dashing from computer to TV ( no laptop).

Anyway first impressions ..I'm a happy camper ! Almost no big mistakes in the whole competition..except ..send hugs to the Hasegawas.

I'm not worried about the V/M deduction or Lv 3's ..I know they can fix that. W/P and P/I were both wonderful and right in the mood of the dance. I'm pretty happy with the placements right down the line.

Now I must fly.. I'm sure I'll have more to say later.

OMG Canada truly has given up on skating - if the SD is done and we have only one post here it means figure skating must be dead in Canada. Say it is not true. :) :) :)

since the results pg is down on Skate Canada ( which is really ridiculous) could somebody tell us the scores and placements of the first 4 teams? It would be very appreciated !

Hmm G/P are 2.5 points behind P/I. Hope they switch places after the FD. Like both couples, but that Hitchcock program is amazing and deserves to be performed in Sochi!

Gilles/Poirier were painfully slow. I don't like their SD either. Paul/Islam did a fine job. Actually I think Orford/Williams should be higher.

I hate Tessa's new dress. I bet there will be another one for the Olympics.

I loved Tessa's new dress, but I am sure there will be a new one for the Olympics.

I am pretty sure Gilles/Poirier will be third after the long, as their Hitchcock program is amazing!

Not so amazing that the program itself should qualify them. It has to come down to how the couples skate their programs tomorrow.

Their program is original ,entertaining and has some unique moves.. I can't say I think it's a better program than P/I's in terms of content or overall design .

I'm hoping Gilles & Poirier move up to 3rd after the FD, too. If they skate it well without making any major mistakes, they should be 3rd.

And as Rod Black said on TSN today, it's amazing how hard Paul Poirier worked to come back from that terrible ankle injury last Summer!

Really? I can. I think it's one of the best choreographed programs of the year. I just hope that they skate it to their full potential.

On the other hand, I think P/I have one of the best SDs of the year. It is light and charming and effervescent (a quality absent from most of the SDs I've seen this year, even though the whole idea of a Finnstep program is effervescence).

I find it surprising how weak Gilles/Poirer's SD is, given they have the best FD in the world this season.

Come on Canadian judges, not enough 10s for Virtue/Moir! You've already lost the battle for the most ridiculous judging and we haven't even had the FS yet (and two Lv3s for the Finnstep, SACRILEGE! I BET JUDY BLUMBERG WAS THE CALLER AGAIN!!1!) :(
