Also, Beatrisa Liang has withdrawn from the World Junior Championships due to injury. She will be replaced by first alternate Daniele Kahle.

Kostner? 4 Bulgarian Skaters? An Indian?

Kostner's going to Jr. Worlds? I thought she was only competing on the senior circuit this year (has she even gon to a jr. event?)

And how did certain countries get so many entries. FOUR skaters from Bulgaria?

Nice to see a skater from India, though. Anyone know anything about them?

Notice that some skaters have an S marking on the far right side. That means that they are a substitute. Three of the Bulgarians have an S so that means only one of them is qualified to go.

As for Kostner going, lots of skaters do both senior and junior events in the same season.

    A site:
    http://www.iswkoman.com/htm/news/news.shtml

    Exact quote about her:

Aadnya Borkar, an immensely talented 12th std. student of Indian School Al Wadi Al Kabir, did herself and her school proud when she grabbed the first position in Figure Skating and Speed Skating in the women's category at the All India Ice Skating Championship held at New Delhi in June.
She also easily took the first position once again in Figure Skating and Speed Skating in the junior girls category.
    She speed skates too...interesting.

As of February 20th, Carolina Kostner is replaced by Giorgia Carrossa. Wise move on her part.
