    Hi! Welcome to the forum.

Post long, post often, as Mathman says.

I don't know when they'll announce it but presumably they will wait to see how Kovtun performs at Euros and after some test skate with Plushenko. They'll certainly announce their decision before February 6.

I think that I read that it will be announced 27th of January or right before that date.

After the Europeans, if Kovtun doesn't do well, Plushenko will suddenly do very well in the test skate and go.

I think if Kovtun does not medal at Europeans, Plushenko will definitely go.

^I wonder what would happen if the podium ends up:

    1. Fernandez
    2. Voronov
    3. Kovtun

That would be a head scratcher...

I think there were two days announced in two different articles (one from Gorshkov and another one from maybe Piseev, I am not sure).

I think the fact that Kovtun was not already named -- after he beat Plushenko -- says everything.

Kovtun updated his twitter profile as "Member of the Russian Olympic Team" https://twitter.com/Makskovtun

Gorshkov: "We take no responsibility for what Kovtun writes on twitter. Olympic Team will be announced on Jan 25th." http://heat.ru/news/109329

Kovtun is responsible for the disaster last year. He proved now again he is not consistent enough. They should send Plushenko or Voronov.

Plushenko is surely going. But who's going to the worlds?
